Wow, I have been crazy busy with wedding plans for the past two weeks and have hardly had time to do my laundry, much less post on here! Just wanted you to know that I’m still alive and well and I’ll have some great stuff to add about decorations =). A lot of them will be useful for decorating my new home after the wedding too. You’ve gotta love dual purpose decorations!

Well, welcome to my blog!

First, to introduce myself: I’m a bit of a modern day gypsy. Throughout the past decade, I have lived in seven states that range from the Eastern seaboard to the Southern Cali coast and everywhere in between. When I’m not packing up my eclectic collection of belongings and setting off for a new place to call home, I am usually packing up a condensed version of the same belongings and setting off in search of a new adventure.

Throughout my travels I am always on the lookout for the next piece to add to the collection of items that make up the material side of my life. I am eternally particular about what I collect, but hardly predictable. My taste is “essentially eclectic” as one of my friends once described it. A combination of modern and antique, organic and technological, artistic and practical—the only consistent theme is that I like it (well, and that I can afford it…).

And this is where I will record my discoveries, hopefully inspiring others to become persnickety and innovative too. So please, be my guest and enjoy!
