Part of creating a great living space to relax and rejuvinate in is getting that space organized. But getting organized can be a huge task; I know it is for me.

I have found that the best way to approach it is by taking baby-steps. This was one of the first steps that I took to organize my life. It helped make things a little simpler, and it really isn’t that hard! Just go out and buy an expanding file wallet, either at your local office supply store or online. They aren’t very expensive.

Then take a few minutes to sit in your car and dare to open that overflowing glove compartment. Sift through everything you find. Old receipts can be thrown away, clean napkins can bet stacked neatly, and your registration, insurance info, even warranties can be stored neatly in your new file wallet. Item: window box and towels
Cost: check yard sales for a window box and use the towels you’ve already got!

I absolutely LOVED this idea when I came across it. I believe I found the pic and suggestion at realsimple.com. I’m not much for gardening although I love plants (my house is full of tropical plants and succulents–either watered every day or hardly ever). So I thought this was a great creative way to use a window box, especially in a guest bathroom, where you can display colorful towels and they’re easy for guests to locate.
